Our updated Covid-19 store plan

We’re complying with current safety guidelines to keep our customers and staff healthy:
Masks are not required if you are fully vaccinated. Our staff members are wearing masks; the NYC Department of Health strongly recommends that people wear masks and continue social distancing indoors when the vaccination status of other parties is unknown.
We’ll ask you to remove your mask and smile for the security camera before entering.
We're still cleaning the store carefully throughout the day, for everyone's safety and peace of mind.

Lifetime Jewelry Care
Evan James Jewelers has decades of experience caring for the appearance and craftsmanship of our jewelry, and we are dedicated to keeping your jewels in top condition. For the lifetime of your purchase, we provide the following professional cleaning and general repairs:
•    Professional cleaning and polishing
•    Ultrasonic and steam cleaning for hard gemstones
•    Gentle cleaning by hand for soft or porous gemstones
•    Metal oxidation removed
•    Worn rhodium plating reapplied


Our Warranty
Your fine jewelry is always protected against manufacturer’s defects for up to 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear on your jewelry. In some cases, an item must be sent to the designer for repair or resizing. The designer’s charges are not covered by our Lifetime Jewelry Care, but you can review and approve all repair and shipping costs before work begins. Repairs are also subject to the designer’s schedule. This warranty is void if your jewelry is repaired or otherwise altered by another service provider.

Evan James Lifetime Engagement Ring Care
We take special pride in helping couples find the perfect ring and understand that this piece of jewelry is a part of your forever story. When you purchase a complete engagement ring from Evan James Jewelers we offer you Lifetime Engagement Ring Care. A “complete” ring is one where both the center gem and the ring setting are purchased from Evan James
This extends the services offered under our Lifetime Jewelry Care to include:
Professional cleaning and polishing

•    Hard stones such as diamonds and sapphires receive ultrasonic and steam cleaning
•    Soft or porous gemstones, including emeralds and pearls, are gently cleaned by hand
•    Metal oxidation removal

Additional general repairs

•    Loose gemstones are tightened
•    Prongs are re-tipped or smoothed
•    Lost finishes are reapplied to the best of our ability; this includes brushed, florentine, hammered, polished and satin finishes
•    Worn rhodium plating is reapplied to white gold rings


Additional charges may apply for these services:

•    Restoring worn metalwork, such as milgrain and engraving
•    Prong or shank replacement
•    Filling cracks or breaks in the metal
•    Reshaping out-of-shape rings
•    Any additional repairs not listed here

Please note that all repairs and alterations to your Evan James rings must be completed by our store. External service or alterations will void the warranty on our jewelry.
Appraisal services
When you purchase a complete engagement ring or wedding band, we will furnish a complimentary insurance value appraisal conducted by our GIA-certified gemologist. There is a charge to appraise rings set with gemstones you provide.
We recommend updating your appraisals at least every three years. We will need your ring physically in the store, and usually can complete your complimentary revised appraisal in 7-10 business days.
Shipping
Shipping is processed Monday through Friday
•    U.S. Ground shipping & returns are complimentary
•    FedEx Standar 5-Day: $35
•    FedEx 2-Day: $65
•    FedEx Overnight: $85
•    Any order placed after 3pm ET Friday will be shipped the following Monday
•    Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped UPS 2-Day
•    For orders over $500 a signature is required on delivery default or the costumer could select the signature options

Shipping signature options:

•    No signature required
Standard FedEx delivery procedures will be followed. For residential deliveries, FedEx may release the package without anyone present.
•    Indirect signature required
Someone at the recipient's address or a neighbor may sign for delivery. Charges may apply.
•    Direct signature required
Someone at the recipient's address may sign for delivery. Charges may apply.
•    Adult signature required
An adult at the delivery address must sign for delivery. Photo identification is required. Charges may apply.

Availability

Most of our styles are available for immediate shipment, but some items may be temporarily unavailable or out the stock. In these situations please allow an extra week delivery time, we will contact you to determine if you’d prefer await the item or cancel your order.
Same-Day Manhattan Courier $60
Within Manhattan, we’re pleased to offer same-day messenger service Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays). Place your order by 3pm for same-day delivery; orders placed after 3pm will be delivered the next possible day.
Your order is prepared in our luxurious packaging and then placed into a box for transport. Please contact us to confirm your delivery time.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be delighted with your Evan James Jewelers purchase. Return domestic shipping is complimentary, return eligibility details are below.
Returns may be made within 10 days of receipt of your purchase. Returns of online engagement ring purchases get special consideration, see below.
Returned merchandise must be in original, new condition. Please be aware that sale items, exchanged items, custom orders, special orders and altered or sized items are final sales and may not be returned or exchanged. Rings that are resized are final sale.
How to return an in-store purchase

Items purchased in NYC our store must be returned there. If you can't visit the store, get in touch and we'll see how to best facilitate your return.
To be eligible for return, your purchase:
•    Must be in new, unused condition, in its original packaging
•    May not be engraved, altered, or resized


How to return an online purchase

To be eligible for return, your purchase must be in new, unused condition, in its original packaging, and may not be engraved, altered, or resized
Please call or email us and  we will email you a return shipping label. Call FedEx for pickup, or drop off your package at a FedEx location.
We'll review your return once we receive it, and once we have accepted it for return, we will process your refund or exchange as quickly as possible — usually within a few business days. Your refund should appear on your credit card statement in one to two billing periods.
Important note: Our shipping procedures and instructions, explained below, must be followed carefully to ensure the safe shipment and appropriate processing of your return.

Packaging & shipping your return
Please get in touch with us before you ship anything back so we can create a shipping label with the correct insurance amount. Package your return carefully, and include the sales receipt, all original packaging and enclosures.
Ring sizing

Ring sizing is free at the time of purchase but we offer additional for a fee.
Some rings, however, cannot be resized by us and must be special ordered or sent to the designer. We'll let you know as soon as possible if there will be a delay in your order.
•    Please remember to give the ring size in the Comments section at checkout
•    All sized items and special orders are final sale.
•    Please allow 5 business days for an item to be sized.
•    Ring sizing more than 2 sizes up or down from the stock ring size may incur additional charges or require a special order.

Sales Tax
In accordance with state law, we are required to charge sales tax to purchasers in New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
